The daughter of Stanley Willard Henson, Jr, a physician and Thelma Burnell Henson Michele Carey whose birth name is Michele Lee Henson was born on February 26, 1942, at Annapolis, Maryland in the United States of America. As a teenager, she became an expert pianist and took home a prize at the Chicago Music Festival. In Fort Collins, Colorado she settled with her family. She attended high school at Fort Collins High School and was graduated in 1960. Concerning her career, she relocated from Colorado to Los Angeles to seek better opportunities.
